MASSIMILIANO CALDI

Massimiliano Caldi stands out for his highly professional preparation and his brilliant, linear conducting style. Winner of the first prize at the G. Fitelberg International Competition (1999), he is the only Italian who won the Gazetta Italia Award 2018 for promoting Italian music in Poland and Polish music in Italy. Among his recent achievements are his debut in Don Bucefalo (A. Cagnoni) at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, a concert recorded at Teatro alla Scala with I Virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala, the Polish premiere of Castelnuovo-Tedesco's cello concert with Silvia Chiesa, a symphonic concert at La Fenice (Venice) with the Theatre's Orchestra and students of the Venice Music Conservatory, and Quo Vadis (F. Nowowiejski) with the Opera and Philharmonic of Podlasie in Białystok. In Poland, he has been invited by International Festivals and regularly appears on the podiums of the most significant philharmonic and symphonic orchestras. He has conducted, among others, the Berliner Konzerthaus Kammerorchester, Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Orchestra Sinfonica "Giuseppe Verdi", Orchestra dell'Arena di Verona, and Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino.
